Bend-wooden rings

A research into, and fabrication of wooden rings with alternative inlays.

September 2017 – January 2018

In this project, I delved into the intricate art of crafting bentwood rings. Through meticulous research and experimentation, I explored the optimal wood types, bending techniques, and methods for cutting wood into strips. Additionally, I pushed the boundaries by experimenting with unconventional materials to create unique inlays for these rings.

This endeavour perfectly aligned with my love for woodworking and my passion for innovative experimentation. Throughout the project, I constantly sought new possibilities and pushed the limits of traditional craftsmanship. While the process involved its fair share of challenges and setbacks, it also yielded unanticipated and distinctive successes.
